There are companies where you know the first time you walk in - that will be good. Hotel zur Sonne is definitely one of them. Very friendly staff and owner, nice room, good kitchen, good (Corona) breakfast. What more do you want. Possibility of storing the bike is also available. I felt very comfortable.

We were dinner at the inn and this is highly recommended. The menu offers a wide selection of home-style cuisine. Salads and grill plates were very good. Fine drinks, friendly service and the opportunity to sit outside pleasantly round off the offer.

I cycled through Germany for 10 days. In the 10 days I stayed 10 times in different hotels and inns. Hotelgasthof zur Sonne was clearly the best option and the price / performance ratio is sensational. From the first moment I felt totally at ease (the owner noticed my name immediately) and you can tell that the family tries hard. The dinner in the beer garden was very good (house plate) and the breakfast was very, very tasty. My clear recommendation for all cyclists and those who are out and about in Bad Gögging.

The hygiene concept is only observed to a limited extent, i.e. no disinfection of tables, but a mask requirement up to the table and the delivery of the address. The operator wears a mask, but only over the mouth and not over the nose. Service is not attentive, because drinks order was not brought. The prices are ok, the food was good. Local has a visible exterior and interior.

We ate the meat plate with beef for two people. Very large portion and delicious. Prices are very fair. It's worth a visit.
